Master of Science in Management (By Research)

Programme Overview

The objective of the Master of Science in Management is to provide postgraduate students the opportunity to enhance their knowledge through independent research in a selected area of management. The focus on research and training in the program will enable the postgraduate students to be competent in handling basic applied research in their chosen specialties.

Programme Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree [Level 6, Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF)] in a business-related field with a minimum of CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.00 or equivalent qualifications as accepted by HEP Senate; OR
• A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in business-related field with minimum GPA of 2.00 and not meeting GPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment; OR
• A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in a business-related field not meeting CGPA of 2.75 but above the CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00; OR
• Equivalent qualifications may be accepted, subject to the HEP rigorous internal assessment (may include tests, interviews or portfolio).

Additional Requirements

• Minimum Band 4 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or equivalent to The Common European Framework (CEFR) (Mid B2) OR
• Minimum score of 60 in Internet-Based Test (IBT) or equivalent score for Paper-Based Test (PBT) for Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL); OR
• Minimum score of 6.0 in International English Language Testing System (IELTS); OR
• Minimum score of 59 for Pearson English Test; Other equivalent qualification.
